Growing up, I always had a feeling that words were never quite enough for how I perceived my own experiences. The world out there had much more to say than I could describe. Language was the source of misunderstandings, approximations and confusion.
My work is a search for a way to reflect the ebb and flow of the relations we create and the marks that are left behind. In the series below, I explore different themes such as the land as a primary source of knowledge, our connection to others, the space which envelops everything and everyone, and the fragmented memories, or the physical traces left by the encounters we make, which with time, reflect back a new significance.
